  • The lower lawns adjacent to Charles Road were used for games and cricket

    The lawn to the left of the main gate was properly marked out with two tennis courts, the nets being kept in a lockable box against the hedge

    Written into the Association Rules, to climb the Indian Oak tree on the top lawn near the summerhouse and roundel. This was universally known as the "Family Tree".
